Evidencebased
Outcomes
At The Hip Preservation institute, tracking patient outcomes is a
fundamental component of our patient-focused practice.
Ongoing, prospective, institutional hip preservation registry, developed in 2008:
- 3,500+ arthroscopic procedures
- Regular follow-up at intervals from 3 months to 15 years
- Regularly publish clinical outcomes
Understanding outcomes is an important component in refining and evolving
surgical management, to ensure best possible outcome for the patient.
Mr Carton’s practice is one of the few centres worldwide with the ability to publish
long term outcomes. This additional level of patient-focused care and invested
research provided by The Hip Preservation Institute has supported the evidencebased decisions made over the past 20 years, with the contributions to knowledge
base firmly placing this practice as a leading health service provider, nationally
and internationally.
